Meet Faustin Adeniran. He is a professional artist that had an impressive catalogue of work, an innovative & dedicated work practice, and natural, fluid in-person networking skills. He was looking to collaborate with someone to help bring his online presence on brand with his real life persona. We started by spending time together in his studio. We chatted about his practice, and the influences and many layers of meaning behind each of his works. By distilling the essence of his artwork and who he is, I was better able to build an accurate representation of them both through digital media. Over a couple weeks we documented his work through video, portfolio shots, and close-up detail shots.

After we created a substantial catalogue of digital images & video, we worked on crafting his new logo. The end result combines his classical fine art training with his affection for salvaged and reused materials. We wanted a mark that felt sculptural just like his works. The “A” in the primary logo, and the “f” in the secondary logo uses a detail shot of a beautifully rusted saw blade from his 2018 piece, Automation.

Once we finalized his logo, it was time to get to work on his website. We built it from scratch and focused on minimal bright modern design so that his textured and vibrant artwork would stand out. We wanted his website to feel like the digital version of walking into his studio. Upon arrival, you are greeted by his kind hospitality. With jazz gently playing on the record player, and drink in hand, he curates a personalized art tour around his studio. Click below to visit his website and get your own tour of his studio!

Most recently, we worked together to develop a print portfolio for him. The purpose was to have a strong design piece that showcased all of his latest works to easily hand out to collectors, museums and investors. The print portfolio gave all the essentials: an updated CV, a short and personal bio, details about his larger series, all the names and dates of his available works, few captivating detail shots, and all of his contact info. The final product was a lovely hardbound book with glossy & high vibrancy color printing. (The mockup below shows the book in paperback, magazine print form.)
