This triptych invites you into my personal journey of trauma & healing.  Each shield represents my own human vessel, where my trauma was experienced, healing takes places, and where I find strength to fight for others. Each shield invites you into a  personal journey of trauma & healing. Retreat gives a portrait of a new life mantra of healing; healing trauma, healing the physical human vessel, healing broken social systems, and healing community. Each has been hand etched and painted. The gesture in Retreat was chosen for its gentle and intimate form. One palm is open, ready to receive while the other offers compassionate care.
